I hope you are doing great. I’m Masud Rana, founder and CEO of FormGent. My journey into the world of WordPress development started back in 2011. In my more than 1 decade of experience in this industry, I have learned many things for which I will always be thankful to the open source community.

Me and my business partner’s vision has always been aligned with similar ideas; solving real-world problems with our products. We keep thinking about solutions, not products, that will help businesses or individuals boost their productivity, grow beyond limits and we want to be a part of their journey.

How Did We Come Up with FormGent?

The WordPress community has been a part of my life, even before I started my business. I worked as a freelancer and loved developing solutions related to WordPress. I made many mistakes, lost momentum from time to time but turned around my luck again, praising the God Almighty. Thanks to the WordPress community for supporting me from time-to-time.

While thinking about looking for a way to give back to the community something as a gift, the idea of FormGent struck my mind. I realized that there are plenty of form building solutions on WordPress but only a few of them are beginner-friendly. Developers just love to bloat their products with advanced features that often overwhelm non-techie users.

The goal of WordPress has always been to help non-technical or less tech-adaptive people to get along with the technologies. So it seemed like a gap that someone needed to fill. I stepped up to build FormGent in a native, beginner-friendly and lightweight way that will require zero learning curve and minimal infrastructure to run.

You may ask me why I am prioritizing small solutions in the AI era where the possibilities are endless? Just because we built a lightweight and easy to use solution doesn’t mean it does any less than the superpowers in the market. FormGent is as good as any other leading form builder in the WordPress ecosystem. This is my commitment – I will not compromise quality or reduce functionalities for the sake of affordability or ease.

What Real-World Problems Does FormGent Solve?

This is a fascinating question – real-world problems. I mentioned earlier that our business goals are aligned with our products’ features and functionalities to solve real-world problems. I believe there are a number of business and technical problems that our product can actually solve. Let’s discuss that.

FormGent can actually solve a number of problems that you probably didn’t even think of as a problem and sought solutions before. To name a few:

If you are a part of the WordPress community, have worked with various plugins, themes and other resources to develop sites for your own, clients, other businesses, you know what the Freemium model is and how it works. Things can get really frustrating when:

You find a very useful plugin, install it and halfway you hit a blocker. 

• Feature lock, requires installing new add-ons to unlock your required functionalities.
• Or in other words, duct taping multiple tools to do a single task.

You are enjoying the tool you are using but when you try to access the output, it only shows scattered data.

• To export in an organized way or to see an analytical report, you have to use another additional tool or upgrade to a higher plan.
• Managing so many subscriptions can be frustrating.

You just installed the tool and it has great reviews. But it’s not compatible with your existing environment unless:

• You learn a new builder or technology to get used to its functionalities.
• Change your theme or write custom code to fit the tool properly in your setup.

The tool is working excellent but you cannot amplify uses with integrations. It only:

• Supports a few integrations and your daily used tools are not on that list.
• It requires additional automation tools to unlock advanced integrations.

These are some of the common problems our target group faces from time to time. So, I found ways to help them with my product. Here’s how FormGent addresses this issues:

3. Our plans are affordable, highly advanced and they are designed to enhance your experience. Not to make you hostile by forcing you to pay to unlock data.
4. FormGent is also compatible with other popular builders like Elementor as we intend to amplify everyone’s experience.
5. You can export your data in different formats using FormGent. We ensure your full accessibility to it even if you are using our Free plan.
6. FormGent offers numerous integrations including Zapier, MailChimp and Google Sheets to automate your post-submission tasks. Plus, you can add more using Webhooks to various APIs. The possibilities are endless.

How are we making money?

Honestly, we have just got started. We do not aim to bring a lot of money overnight. Better go slow and make users feel the value of our tool first. But we have exciting plans ahead. If you look at our pro plans you may realize that:

• We have launched a Lifetime deal which you can buy with a one-time payment and enjoy it for the rest of the product lifetime.
• We also have plans to bring advanced AI features in next versions which users will find highly useful. At that time, we expect many users to upgrade to pro plans.
• We tiered our plans based on site numbers, not features. Meaning the Pro features are the same on all plans but the more sites you handle, the more you will pay.

In a nutshell, we will make money when our users will grow. For now, we are more focused on improving it and making it sharp enough to cut things quicker than anyone else.

Future Plan with FormGent

The roadmap ahead is disclosed publicly. Yet, let me rephrase it for you. We will bring a number of advanced features in FormGent to solve more problems.

• Advanced AI: The AI outputs will be much more detailed, tailored and smart.
• New fields: FormGent currently covers all essential fields to build an amazing form. We will add more fields that users can utilize to make more multipurpose forms.
• More integrations: As more and more tools will be familiar to our users, we will keep allowing them to integrate with our forms.
• Save Incomplete Data: FormGent already captures incomplete data in conversational forms and we will enable it on all forms so that marketers can get hold of potential leads.
