CitedSpy is a generative engine optimization platform that shows founders, marketers and agencies how AI engines describe and recommend their brand, then tells them what to change to get mentioned more often.
CitedSpy tracks how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and Google AI Mode talk about your brand, collecting answers from the live product interface rather than an API so you see what your buyers actually see.
It turns that into a visibility score, competitor share of voice, citation sources and a list of specific fixes, so you stop guessing whether AI recommends you and start doing something about it.

IntegrationsBuyers now ask AI which tool to use before they ever open Google, and most never click through to a website at all. If your brand is not in the answer you are invisible, and the analytics you already have will not tell you. CitedSpy exists to make that layer visible and fixable, for the founders, consultants and agencies who cannot justify an enterprise contract to find out.
CitedSpy runs the same set of questions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude and Google AI Mode, then reports how each one talks about your brand side by side. Every answer is collected from the live product interface rather than through an API, which matters more than it sounds, because API responses and the answers real buyers see are not always the same thing. Each question runs seven times a week per engine, because AI gives a different answer every time you ask and a single check tells you almost nothing. What you get instead is how often your brand actually appears, expressed as a rate rather than a snapshot. You can also set a country or region on individual prompts, so you can see how the answer changes market by market.
In practice this is what turns a hunch into a number you can act on. A founder who suspects they are losing deals to a competitor can see whether that competitor is being named ahead of them and on which engines. A consultant onboarding a new client can show a real baseline in the first week rather than a vague promise about AI search. Marketing teams get a figure that goes into the monthly report without anyone having to manually prompt ChatGPT on a Friday afternoon and screenshot the result.

You can add up to fifteen competitors per brand and see exactly how you stack up against each of them. CitedSpy reports mention rate, average position, sentiment and head to head win rate, which is how often an engine picks your brand first when the two of you are compared directly. The share of voice chart gives you the one number that summarizes the whole picture, and the mention rate trend line groups by competitor so you can watch a rival gain ground week by week rather than discovering it a quarter late. Sentiment is tracked per engine and per prompt, so you can tell the difference between not being mentioned and being mentioned badly.
This is the section agencies tend to live in. When a client asks why they are not showing up, the answer is usually sitting in a competitor comparison, and having it laid out removes the guesswork from the conversation. It also gives you something concrete to point at when you need to justify the work, because a competitor moving from 40 percent to 55 percent share of voice is a much easier thing to explain than an abstract argument about AI search.

Every time an AI engine mentions your brand, it is pulling from somewhere. CitedSpy extracts those sources and builds them into what is effectively a searchable database of the domains driving recommendations in your category. You can see which sites the engines lean on most, filter by engine, and see which of your own domains are being cited. It also flags the sources your competitors are earning citations from that you are not, which is usually the fastest route to closing a gap.
Knowing that Reddit drives a third of the recommendations in your category changes where you spend your time. So does discovering that a single Wikipedia paragraph is responsible for a meaningful share of the answers naming your competitor instead of you. This is the part of GEO that most people get wrong by guessing, and having the source data in front of you means the work you do next is aimed at something real rather than at general best practice.

CitedSpy does not stop at measurement. The recommendations panel surfaces specific things to go and do, each one with an expected impact and a rough time estimate attached. That might be a Reddit thread where a competitor has eighteen mentions and you have two, a Wikipedia paragraph that currently links to a rival’s blog, an FAQ section missing from your pricing page, or schema markup that needs adding. Topic gap detection tells you which subjects competitors are winning on when your brand is absent entirely, and competitor citation strategy shows you the exact domains they are using to earn their mentions.
The value here is that it removes the hardest part of GEO, which is knowing where to start. Most teams understand they need to improve how AI sees them and then stall because the work is undefined. A prioritised list with time estimates turns that into something a junior marketer can pick up on a Monday morning, and for agencies it turns into a deliverable you can actually bill for rather than a report that gets read once and filed.

Prompt Research finds the questions you should be tracking but are not. One click and CitedSpy suggests fresh queries based on your brand and category, filtering out near duplicates so you are not tracking six versions of the same thing. Because prompt selection is what determines whether your data is useful, this matters more than it first appears. The AI Content Studio then takes your tracking data and turns it into content, running a guided flow from brief to outline to draft with section by section editing, so the output is built on what the engines are actually citing rather than generic assumptions about your topic.
For a consultant or an agency this shortens the gap between finding a problem and shipping the fix. You identify a topic gap where competitors are winning, generate a brief built from your own citation and competitor data, and work from there. For a solo founder without a content team, it is the difference between knowing you should publish something and having a starting point in front of you.

CitedSpy runs on workspaces, so agencies and multi brand companies can keep clients completely separate under one login, with owner, editor and viewer roles for the team. On the higher tiers you can run the whole dashboard under your own logo, brand name, colours and support email, on your own custom domain that clients sign in at, with the branding carried through to emails, PDF reports and data exports. There is API access and a Looker Studio connector for anyone who wants the data somewhere else, plus Zapier for everything in between.
The integration list goes further than most tools in this category. There is a WordPress plugin, an embedded Shopify app, and a listing on Salla for Arabic language ecommerce. The MCP server is the one worth calling out though, because it connects your workspace directly to Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini CLI, so you can query your GEO data and pull analytics inside the AI tools you already have open rather than switching to another dashboard.

Hey Bird Gang 👋
Arshita here, founder of CitedSpy.
Your buyers stopped Googling. They’re asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity instead and one AI paragraph now replaces ten blue links. Your brand is either in it or it doesn’t exist.
Most brands have no idea which one they are. No dashboard, no alert, no way to even ask the question.
That’s what CitedSpy answers. We track your brand daily across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, and Grok mention rate, sentiment, the sources AI cites, and exactly which competitors it recommends instead of you.
The bit I’m most proud of: we don’t stop at the scoreboard. Knowing you’re invisible is useless on its own. So every gap comes with the lever which source to get cited in, which page to fix, which competitor is eating your share and why. Rank tracking told you your position. This tells you what to do about it.
The other thing I care about is price. Enterprise GEO tools start at $5K/month, which means the brands who most need this can’t touch it. We built CitedSpy so a two-person startup can run it on day one.
We’re 60+ users in, and the product you’d use today was shaped almost entirely by DMs the “hey, this broke” and the “what if you added this.”
Rank tracking, but for the AI answer layer. You stop guessing whether AI recommends you.
Try it, break it, tell me what’s missing. I answer everything.

I’ve recently started using CitedSpy actively, and my first impression has been very positive. What I like most is that instead of simply providing a visibility score, it shows the sources and citations appearing in AI answers, where competitors are being mentioned, and the opportunities where our brand is missing. The technical audit and the ability to turn opportunities into actionable tasks also make the product much more useful.
The main areas I’d like to see improved are stronger Turkish and multilingual prompt tracking, more detailed tracking of how answers to the same prompt change over time, and deeper integration with real traffic data such as Google Search Console. I also believe it is very important to keep each measurement as transparent as possible — showing which prompt, model, run, and source contributed to the result.
Overall, I believe CitedSpy is focused on the right area and has the potential to become significantly more valuable as it continues to develop.

Hey. Does this work in other languages besides English? Thanks
Bruno RF Carvalho not right now, it is in our roadmap planned already and will be done soon, as per priority. https://www.citedspy.com/roadmap
Hello. Which countries and languages does CitedSpy work with?
Yuriy – CitedSpy isn’t restricted by country. You set the market and locale per project, and we run your prompts against ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Mode, Claude and Grok from that locale, so local AI visibility for Germany, Brazil or Japan works the same way it does for the US.
Languages: you can write and track prompts in currently in English language, and the responses, citations, sentiment and source domains get parsed in English. The one big caveat the dashboard interface itself is English-only today.
Allow me to clarify. If I write and track prompts in Ukrainian language for the Ukrainian market and locale, will I receive responses, citations, sentiment, and source domains in Ukrainian or in English? I’m a bit confused.
Right now it will come in English only. Yes, I’ll add Ukrainian in roadmap.
We planned for German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and few more.
Do you offer a fully localized user interface in German?
Straight answer: not yet. The interface is English-only right now. You can run all your prompts, tracking and reports in German today — the responses, citations and sentiment all come back in German — but the app chrome around it is English.
Full UI localization is on the roadmap, and German is the first language we’re doing. If you grab a code now you’ll get it as part of the plan, not as an upsell. Happy to update here when it ships.
Hi, Is this your first business? Do you have previous experience in business? Is this bootstrapped? My concern is this is an extremely young business. How would compare yourself to Blazly AI which has two separate portals one for GEO and one for SEO, in one price? Thank you. Ryan
Hello,
I’m a serial entrepreneur with previous experience building and scaling my earlier startup, EquipShare. We grew the business to a strong level of revenue before exiting. After that, I joined a corporate organization as the India Head, a nationwide leadership role.
I had been considering starting another company for a long time, and that led to the launch of CitedSpy with Arshita. The company is currently bootstrapped and we want to grow it to true potential.
Regarding the comparison with Blazely AI, we do not have a separate SEO and GEO portal. Our platform is primarily focused on GEO, but we also recognize that SEO plays an important role in website performance. That’s why we have a technical SEO assessment feature that helps identify SEO-related issues on a website. We don’t currently offer traditional SEO features such as keyword research, but we focus on technical SEO because it is also important for AEO and GEO performance.
For anyone evaluating the business, I would also recommend looking at our changelog. Over the past four months, we have consistently shipped updates every week. You can see our progress through the weekly changelog, along with our roadmap and upcoming plans. https://www.citedspy.com/changelog
We are focused on building this for the long term, and we have already reached good number in MRR.
That’s a brief overview of my background and the business. If you’d like, I’d be happy to connect over Zoom or Google Meet to give you a product demo and discuss things one-on-one.
Please let me know if you’re available.
Blazly is built to help you publish more. We’re built to tell you whether any of it got cited. Honest comparisons against the other tracking tools are at https://www.citedspy.com/alternatives.
Thanks you for the quick response to questions. I was on the LiveWebinar today. Your product looks good. Although I already own Blazly AI which I purchased some time ago (partly because they focused on Webflow and WordPress initially and I use Webflow fairly regularly), I am impressed with your tool, enough to buy and try it. If it’s good I’ll keep it. They maybe able to work alongside each other. If one misses something, hopefully the other catch it! Thank you.
Thanks Ryan, wish to see your review and word of mouth in your network …. to get us more Pro – users, who help in this grind to succeed real big in AI enabled GTM platform goal.
On Tier 3, does one prompt, run across 6 engines, burn 6 answer credits or 4?
On any tier it burns per engine Answer Credit.
If you have one prompt, and 4 engines active, it will burn 4 Answer Credits.

Thanks a lot, Faruk, for the encouraging feedback and for the love! 🙌
Really appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed thoughts. Your points around multilingual tracking, historical prompt changes, GSC integration, and measurement transparency are especially valuable.
We’ll definitely keep these in mind as we continue building CitedSpy as a platform for AI Native GTM enabling platform.
