About Me
Hi, I’m Zaid 👋, founder of Phia. My journey began in 2017 with mobile app development. I was able to grow my apps to over 4 million users before selling them, which was a major milestone early on. After that, I dove into web development, experimenting with side projects—most of which never saw the light of day until Phia came along. Phia has been different, capturing everything I wanted in a product: simplicity, polish, and purpose.

How did we come up with Phia?
Phia was born out of a personal need to create smooth, high-quality screen recordings with minimal hassle. I wanted a tool that could seamlessly record my screen while adding zoom effects, smooth mouse movements, and subtle animations, creating something polished and professional. I initially built Phia for my own use and shared it with a few friends who loved it. That’s when I realized Phia had the potential to help others looking to produce professional-quality videos with ease.

What problems does Phia solve?
For content creators, educators, and marketers, producing professional videos can be challenging without the right tools. You often need several tools to add effects, smooth out cursor movements, and export the final product. This multi-step process can be frustrating and time-consuming.

How does Phia solve this problem?
Phia is an all-in-one screen recording and video enhancement tool that lets you add zoom-ins, motion blur, title animations, background styling, and smooth cursor movements—all in one seamless workflow. Phia’s goal is to make your videos look professional without the hassle of exporting and editing across multiple platforms. Whether you’re creating a product demo, tutorial, or social media post, Phia helps you add those finishing touches to make your content shine.

How is Phia going?
The growth and support from the community have been incredibly exciting. In just two months, Phia has attracted over 1,500 users and gained 450+ upvotes on Product Hunt. The response has been encouraging, and we’re thrilled to keep improving the platform.

What’s on the roadmap?
We’re planning to add post-editing features and essential professional tools like captions and transitions. However, our main focus is on developing a Mac app that we believe will revolutionize the industry. It will integrate AI and deliver 5x better editing features, raising the bar for video editing across the board. We’re passionate about building a tool that keeps creators and professionals at the cutting edge, and we’re just getting started!
