About Me

I’m Dennis, and I built MultitaskAI. For the last 5 years, I’ve been creating digital products, mostly in the WordPress space. Now with MultitaskAI, I’m venturing into something completely new – and I couldn’t be more excited about it.

Why I Built MultitaskAI

You know that feeling when you’re trying to get work done with AI, and you end up with a dozen browser tabs open? Different chat interfaces, each with their own quirks, different designs, and scattered conversations everywhere? Yeah, I got tired of that.

I found myself constantly switching between ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI interfaces, trying to compare responses, reference past conversations, or just keep track of what I was doing. It was a mess.

So I thought: “There has to be a better way.” That’s how MultitaskAI was born – out of pure frustration with the status quo and a desire to create something that actually works the way we do.

What Makes MultitaskAI Different

Instead of building just another chat interface, I focused on creating a workspace that actually makes sense for real-world AI work:

• Your Keys, Your Control: Use your own API keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google models, or connect to OpenRouter and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint for unlimited access to third-party models – the choice is yours
• Enhanced Productivity: Background processing, file handling, custom agents – all the tools you need to work smarter
• Flexible Deployment: Use our hosted version or self-host it – whatever works best for you

How Everything Works Together

But here’s where it gets really interesting – everything in MultitaskAI works together seamlessly:

• Smart Agents: Create specialized AI agents with custom instructions, files, and model settings. Perfect for specific tasks like coding reviews, content writing, or data analysis.
• File Integration: Upload any type of file and MultitaskAI processes it right in your browser – no server uploads needed. Your agents can access these files, reference them in conversations, and use them as context. Everything happens on your device, keeping your data completely private.
• Background Processing: Start a new chat while your current one is still generating. Queue up follow-up questions that send automatically when the current response finishes. It’s like having multiple AI assistants working for you simultaneously.
• Split-Screen Magic: Fork any conversation into a new chat or split-screen view. Compare different approaches, explore alternative solutions, or run the same prompt against different models – all side by side.

Current State

MultitaskAI started as my solution to a personal headache, but it’s grown into something much bigger. I’ve been pushing updates regularly, focusing on stuff that actually matters rather than chasing the latest AI buzzwords.

What makes it different? While other platforms try to lock you into their ecosystem, MultitaskAI is all about giving you freedom. Your AI providers, your data, your choice of where everything lives – it’s all up to you.

What’s Coming Next

I’ve got some really exciting features in development:

• Plugins: Create and install custom plugins with built-in LLM prompts – basically, make MultitaskAI do exactly what you need
• Chrome Extension: Use MultitaskAI right on any webpage – no more copy-pasting back and forth
• Visual Prompt Canvas: Design your AI workflows visually, like you would in Figma – perfect for complex processes
• Desktop App: Get a dedicated app that runs local models while playing nice with cloud providers
